WEEK 22 Period: 87 Class: 5A, 5B Monday, February 17th 2025 UNIT 13: OUR SPECIAL DAYS Lesson 2- Activity 1, 2, 3 I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Understand and correctly repeat the sentences in simple communicative contexts in relation to the topic “Our special days” in which ss ask and answer questions about food and drinks someone will have an event. - Correctly say the words and use What food / drinks will you have at the party? – We’ll have .. to ask and answer questions about food and drinks someone will have an event.; - Enhance the correct use of What food / drinks will you have at the party? – We’ll have ..to ask and answer questions about food and drinks someone will have an event in a freer context. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: pizza, burgers, milk tea, apple juice - Sentence patterns: What food / drinks will you have at the party? – We’ll have 2. Skills:speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to enhance understanding of different kinds of food and drinks at different styles of event. Competences: SS can develop some competences: - Communication and collaboration: work in pairs and groups to complete the learning tasks - Self-control & independent learning: perform listening tasks II. TEACHING AIDS / MATERIALS: - Pictures, textbook, computer, projector, flashcards, recording III. METHODS: - Communicative language teaching, contextual teaching and learning, total physical response, games activities teaching, Model-Action-Talk, teaching methods by visual, direction method, audiolingual method. IV. PROCEDURE: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1.Warm- up: - Divide the class into 4 teams: A, B, C, D. - Set the rules: Teacher says (or plays the recording of) a number and let the teams take turns to answer. Ss have to click the correct number on the screen. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Listen and tick the correct answers about food and drinks someone will have an event. - Read and match the correct answers about food and drinks someone will have an event. - Revise the target vocabulary items through the game our children’s Day party menu 1. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Give each group a large piece of paper. Let them have a time limit to make a menu (including fruit, food and drinks). The representative of each groups shows the menu and tells the class about it. The group that writes the most names of fruit, food or drinks in the shortest time will be given five points / stars. - For the second round, each group shows -Ss play game. and tells the menu to the class. The group that says the most sentences about their menu with correct grammar will be given five points / stars. The group that has the most points / stars will win the game. 35. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Correctly say the stressed words in the questions ‘What ‘food will you ‘have at the ‘party? and ‘What ‘drinks will you ’have at the ‘party? - Identify and underline the stressed words in four questions while listening. - Say the chant with the correct stressed words, pronunciation and rhythm. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Phonic: the stressed words in the questions ‘What ‘food will you ‘have at the ‘party? and ‘What ‘drinks will you ’have at the ‘party? - Vocabulary: review - Sentence patterns: review 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Quality /Attitude: Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class.
